When working on narrative writing you need to include dialogue. When you write using dialogue you must include a tag and correct punctuation. You should include a person's name or pronoun, a vocalization word (said, explained, or screamed). This series is called the tag. After the tag, you MUST include a comma, then a space, and start your quotation marks. Inside the quotation marks will be what the person or characters says followed by punctuation and the closing of the quotation marks. Here are some examples:
