We Teach

This is the start of my 16th year as an official teacher, though my parents would say I've been teaching since I was old enough to talk. I grew up in Oklahoma and graduated with my Bachelor's of Science in Elementary Education from the University of Central Oklahoma. I have additional certifications in middle level math and communication arts. I have my Master's of Science in Curriculum/Instruction as well as a graduate certificate in Autism Spectrum Disorders from the University of Kansas. ROCK CHALK! I am currently pursuing my Education Specialist in Technology in Schools. I have taught every grade level from 1st through 8th. I love spending time with my husband and two children, playing games, basketball, reading and binge watching entire seasons of TV shows. Teaching has always been one of my dreams because I truly believe that teaching children can change the world... even if it is just their world. Eleanor Roosevelt once said, “the future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams.” My hope every year is that I can help my students believe in the beauty of theirs.

This is my 20th year of teaching. My bachelor’s degree is from Northwest Missouri State University with a dual certification in elementary and special education. I earned my Master’s degree from Baker University in Curriculum and Instruction with an emphasis in leadership. I have two children. Evan will be an 8th grader this year, and Avery will be in 6th grade! I love to spend time with my children at their various activities and I also enjoy traveling with my family.

This is my 4th year of teaching. My Bachelor’s Degree is from Benedictine College in Elementary Education with an emphasis in Special Education. I am currently working on my Masters of Science in Curriculum and Instruction at The University of Kansas. I was born and raised in Gilbert, Arizona! After graduation I moved to Kansas City and I have loved every minute. When I am not teaching at school, I am teaching dance in Smithville, Missouri at Artistry In Motion Dance Company. Whenever I have free time, I am planning a summer 2019 wedding and spending time with family, friends, and shopping.

This is my 2nd year of teaching. I graduated from the University of Missouri with my bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education. I am currently participating in the MU Fellowship program pursuing my master’s degree in Learning, Teaching, and Curriculum. I am so excited to get to know your child this school year! I was born and raised in Lebanon, Missouri. I am the proud owner of a golden retriever puppy, who I love to take on walks. In my free time, I love watching movies and spending time with my family.
